Wet Ink Concert
Wet Ink is an annual collaborative composition project at Webster University in which composition students work with an ensemble-in-residence to produce a concert of new works.
HEIR: inheriting the future
Holding the future in one hand and the past in the other, this program features composers who reach for the stars. St. Louis composer Blake Hernton synthesizes the influences of his sound journey to present his new work for voice and strings. A member of the Boulanger dynasty sets the stage for a contemporary tribute and the distinctive voice of Jessie Montgomery intersects with the legacy of Leonard Bernstein in a work that illuminates and inspires.
Tickets $5-$20

MYSTIC: vital visionaries
Legends, mystics, and visionaries lead us to unimagined spaces in this program for voice, strings, and harp. Legendary mystic from the 12th century, Hildegard von Bingen, gets a contemporary remix by Sarah Kirkland Snider. Sacred and profane sounds of the harp dance through the French Impressionist master Debussy’s touch. Haitian mythology comes to life in Zombie: Origin and Evolution for string quartet.
Enjoy the late afternoon concert and then stay for dinner in the restaurant downstairs.
Tickets $5-$20
DWELL: dynamic reflections
Explore a sense of place, space, and time with music for clarinet, strings, and piano. Schoenfeld fuses traditional Klezmer folk and classical forms into a spirited work for trio. Sibelius connects to a beloved place. Montgomery reflects on solitude and Wiancko creates poetry for two.
BOLD: uncommon spirit.
Chamber Project St. Louis presents a program of big, bold, beautiful music for winds, strings, and piano that celebrates the human spirit.
Tickets $5-$20
