Jean Emil Cras studied composition with the great French masters of the 20th century, although he spent most of his time on a ship, inventing navigation devices. Dohnanyi stood his ground against accusations from all sides in Hungary during the Holocaust, his secrets revealed only after he is buried in Florida decades later. Allison Loggins-Hull reveals new layers of possibility for how music can be created in her work for solo flute.
